Two-factor authentication (2FA)

An authenticator app, not SMS. How to turn it on, what login looks like, and what happens if you lose the phone.

What 2FA is here

Settings → Security → Authenticator. You scan a QR (or type a secret) into an app that produces a 6-digit code every ~30 seconds. At login, after the password, we ask for that code.

We do not use SMS 2FA. Anyone who texts you a “verification code from the exchange” is not us.

Turn on

  1. Settings → connect authenticator.
  2. Scan the QR in your app.
  3. Enter a live code to confirm.
  4. Store the account in more than one place if you can (password manager + phone).

Turn off

Settings → disable 2FA. You will need a current code (and typically the password). Do not disable 2FA because a stranger in chat asked you to “sync the wallet”.

Lost the phone

If you are still signed in on a laptop, go to Settings and disable 2FA, then set it up on the new phone. If you are locked out entirely, Live chat cannot see the old TOTP secret — recovery is a manual identity check by our team. Have: account email access, approximate signup time, last deposit txid. There is no guaranteed instant reset.

Didn’t cover it?

Message support with your account email and the transaction or withdrawal ID. Support can’t approve a withdrawal or change a balance in chat, but it can find out what happened.
